Why Brilliance in the Break Was Born:
The healthcare system has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I have had surgeries, hospital stays, and chronic conditions that shaped everything from how I move to how I see the world. I have spent years watching policies take the place of people, and I have felt the weight of being a complicated case in a system that prefers simplicity.
When a recent procedure turned into an emergency, it pushed me into crisis, but it also pushed me into purpose. I realized the system is not just broken, it is breaking people. And it is time we do something about it.
That is why I started Brilliance in the Break. It is a space to speak truth about our experiences, to challenge the systems that have failed us, and to elevate the voices of patients and survivors who are so often left out of the conversation. Because we know where it hurts, and we know where change needs to happen.
I come to this work with a background in business leadership and operations. I spent years building teams, running departments, and facilitating conversations that moved companies forward. I have spoken on stages, led trainings, and turned strategy into action.
Now I am using every part of my experience, personal and professional, to advocate for something better. If you are ready to bring patient perspective into your next panel, keynote, or training, I am ready to speak.
